Hello there, fellow Realme users! Do you want to avoid constantly running out of storage on your phone? Could you magically free up some room for all those selfies and cat videos? Well, fear not because we’ve got a super simple solution for you: moving apps to your SD card!
How to Move Apps to SD Card Realme
This is an entirely new method because many YouTubers are shown to move apps to SD cards in realme, but it didn’t work, so I created this article. By using this method, you will be able to move apps to external storage, or you can directly download apps to an SD card. So let’s quickly see how to move apps to external storage on realme.
Open Additional settings
First of all, open your mobile settings and tap on additional settings.
Select Developer Options
In additional settings, you must scroll down and select the developer option. Now in the developer option, you have to scroll down to the bottom and will get an option to force apps to external storage.
Turn On “Force Allow Apps on External”
Turn on the option to force apps to move into external storage.
Result
Right after turning on the setting, you can download apps to an SD card directly, or Apps will be installed on the SD card. That’s all we want, right?
Nowadays, smartphones don’t support any move apps to SD card feature because it is extinct from the Android OS. But still, there is hope there is a way to directly download apps to SD cards by turning on forcefully moving apps to external storage settings and developer options.
And if the developer option is unavailable in your settings, try the below procedure to enable the developer option.
Pros and Cons of Moving Apps
But wait, there’s more! Let’s discuss the pros and cons of moving apps to your SD card. On the plus side, you’ll have more space on your phone’s internal storage, which means fewer annoying notifications about running out of space. Plus, moving apps to your SD card can speed things up if you have a slower phone.
On the downside, there are a few potential drawbacks to consider. Some apps might not work correctly if moved to your SD card, so test things out before moving everything around. Plus, you might experience slower app performance overall if you have a slow SD card.
Turn on Developer Option Realme
To turn on developer settings on Realme is pretty much the same as any Android OS to turn it on:
- Open your mobile.
- Scroll down > tap on “About Phone.”
- There you have to tap on build number 4-5 times.
- After continuously pressing the build number now, the developer option has been enabled.
Conclusion
Should you move your apps to your SD card? It’s ultimately up to you and your phone’s specific needs. Hopefully, this little guide has helped you understand the process better and give you the confidence to try it.
Hopefully, you can quickly turn on the forcefully moved apps to SD card settings. By the way, remember we are realmeguru.com we have kept a separate guide for Realme smartphones where I had mentioned a lot of tutorials like how to hide apps on realme phones or realme’s origin, etc.
I hope you like this tutorial. Let me know in the comments if it works, and don’t forget to check out our other realme articles linked above. Have a nice day.
